ABOUT THE ARTIST

Emily is a Sydney-based mixed media artist whose reflective, layered and scraped-back paintings capture stylised desert scenes. ..

Working with moulding paste, acrylic, oil pastel, and oil pencil, Emily builds tactile surfaces that shift with light, evoking the ephemeral quality of desert mirages. Paint is sculpted with her brushes, hands and palette knives, then carved back to reveal unexpected forms. This body of work marks a bold evolution in her practice, moving away from control toward a looser, more intuitive approach, creating works that invite personal connection and open interpretation.

Her works are held in private collections across the world, including Los Angeles, Palm Springs, Italy, Costa Rica, New Zealand and Tamworth. Her work has been featured in RUSSH, Habitus Living, Sanctuary Magazine and named Saatchi Art featured artist at The Other Art Fair Sydney.
